International Workshop in the framework of IB-BIOALERTNET project
On July 16 it was carried on a workshop to disseminate the results of the project IB-BIOALERTNET, coordinated by the Carlos III Health Institute, through the Management Unit of the Biological Laboratory Network Alert (RE-LAB), and co-funded by the Directorate General of Affairs of the European Commission. Currently we have laid the foundations for the creation of the new network of laboratories, using as a model the already consolidated RE-LAB, in Spain, and the response system to biological emergencies, in Portugal. During the meeting, representatives of the six beneficiaries of the project shared the status of the project with other reference laboratories of the Iberian Peninsula, Canary Islands and southern countries of Europe. In addition, the structure of the new network, IB-BIOALERTNET was discussed with invited laboratories, as well as the options for establishing new working relationships and adherence to it. The meeting took place at the National School of Health and attended by over 70 participants from France, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Portugal and Spain.
